While I do agree with Ricky's brief assessment, I think that considering Dreyfus was screwed walking into that tribal, I think the outcome was one of the best outcomes for Kyle/Torry/Brandon. Thoughts about both tribes, post Joint Tribal:
Dreyfus
This tribe is a hot mess. Walking into tribal, it was a weird dichotomy. Jason/Kristine/Chris were on bottom of numbers, but had this swagger with the joint tribal, since they knew Slyvain was going to stay strong. The problem with these three is that they all feel equally entitled to be a front runner of this game.
Kristine wants to feel like the social threat, but she's unfortunately lacking significant connections, despite her flirting and constant conversation. Jason wants to be the top dog. The protector. The plan maker. Unfortunately, his blunt conversations and lack of listening to others forces players to play next to him, rather than be led by him. Chris wants to be the play maker. He hasn't garnered enough respect or social status to get anyone to make that leap with him.
Of those three, bizarrely enough, I think that Chris has the biggest potential to achieve his front runner status of being a play maker. Jason is too aggressive and the only people who gave into his game play are on the other tribe. Kristine just doesn't gel with anyone on Dreyfus and will continue to be strung along.
That being said, while these three all did, in fact, have the numbers walking in, their respective front runner statuses were put to the test. Kristine was trying to sway votes/lie to others and they saw right through it. Jason tried to make the big balls play by announcing their plan at tribal, and it fell through. Chris worked hard to get Brandon out of this game with the argument that he's more dangerous than Iqra. Chris, you're correct, but this isn't the vote to make that move. Either way, while these three feel like they're riding high, I have a feel that one of these three is going to flip on this potential forced tie. It won't be Jason. Will it be Kristine, who is literally just looking forward to being reunited with Devon or Chris, who is dying to make his big move? I think it'll be Chris... but I also don't think Dreyfus is going to tribal. I think Devon is going to throw the challenge and attempt to get Alex out, but I'll get to that later.
Torry/Brandon/Kyle had a decent evening. I think they knew coming in that one of the four would be voted out and it was the best possible option for them: Iqra. They had a group chat without her and didn't feel good about merging with her. Problem solved. However, a bigger problem is presented: will they try to mend relationships after this vote? It seems as though Jason is playing his "arms crossed, I don't need to talk to the other side" game play, while Chris and Kristine are putting some time in. I think the key player if/when Dreyfus goes to vote is Kyle. He's been playing the back seat game and I think Chris/Kristine are ready to hear what he has to say. Torry and Brandon are not valuable in this position, because they have the most to lose. I'm interested to see how this round plays out.
Slyvain
I'm so interested in this tribe. They are all chill as fuck, but something just doesn't sit right...
They planned together. They voted together. They celebrated on call for over an hour together. But some cracks are bound to be exposed. I've always believed that a tribe that doesn't go to tribal always has potential for the drama to be stirred up.
Sam and Spencer are in a decent spot. Like I predicted, Sam's game has opened up, but she was exposed to having the idol (thank you so much for this, Kyle). This meant that Alex's tune of "I gave her nothing" has been exposed and you'd think that would be bad for Sam, but she was in the minority. She should keep that information to herself. The biggest issue was Alex being caught in another lie with Devon and Elyse. As his most recent confessional exposes, three strikes and you're out. Devon has been thirsting for a tribal since Gabby left. He's been thirsting to throw a challenge. What a better way than with a blind folded challenge.
I see Slyvain going to tribal, and Devon working with Elyse/Spencer/Jessie to get out Alex. I think they know there is a risk including Sam, and a huge risk including Grace. I'm very interested to see how all of this pans out.
Winner pick from right now? I can't believe I am going to type this: Chris.

Actual Post Joint Tribal Assessment
Dreyfus
This tribe is in serious trouble. They went to the joint tribal divided and aired their dirty laundry in front of everyone. Jason, Chris, and Kristine really misplayed this round - I think they forgot they needed to go back to a tribe with these people for a couple more rounds. They also did not seem to even think of the possibility that the other tribe would come into the joint tribal with a plan too and they would not want to waver from it. Not only did Jason and Chris' performance at tribal paint a target on their backs come the merge (if they're still in the game by then), but Jason also managed to paint a target on Alex' back. Sam really dislikes Jason right now and she knows Alex is one of his allies, so she's gunning for Alex now. Her feelings towards Jason also got her closer to Devon. Good job, Jason. I think Jason was playing an ok game preswap, messy but good enough to get him to the merge, but he just tanked his whole game this round. Even Alex and Grace are like WTF. He might still get to the merge, but there's no way he wins at the end. I really like Chris but he was just an incoherent mess all of yesterday. He went to grab the game by the balls and failed monumentally. Also, for some reason, he is completely down to go to rocks ... just building that resume I guess. Let's not forget, this tribe is now 3-3, so the chances we go to rocks are high. But also, I can totally see Kyle flipping on his OG people and voting Brandon out with Jason/Kristine/Chris. I'm just hoping Torry makes it to the merge and reunites with Spencer. Slyvain This tribe is going to be strong at the merge. All 7 just voted together at the joint tribal and then got on a 2 hour call to get drunk and make fun of the other tribe. Sam and Spencer have ingrained themselves very well into the tribe, to the point I don't think they are actually in trouble if they go to tribal. I think Alex is in more trouble than they are. Devon has been laying low and working on his relationships. Grace has done a good job at building bonds with Sam and Spencer. Elyse is still in a strong position with Devon, even though Alex and Grace see her as a threat. Alex hasn't really formed good relationships with Sam or Spencer, and Devon is not happy with him, so I don't think Alex is in a good spot right now. I would be surprised if they even go to tribal before the merge.
Elyse is still my winner pick here.

RIP Iqra, you shall be missed.
Starting off with a BANG, The SBTF of round 4 is......Jason! Jason...What in the FUCK was that tribal??? Cmonnnn man... Just pitiful. The attempt at getting all old Slyvain to vote Brandon out epicly FAILS. From calling out Sams idol and exposing his close ally Alex in the process...to painting a bullseye on his back for the remainder of the game from the OG Dreyfus...just a piss poor outing from this guy. Do better, we need you!
On to the tribes.....
Dreyfus:
1)Torry - Still the Queen! She's done a great job at adapting in this game since she was blindsided the first vote and it's showing. Everyone in their confessionals has had nothing but good things to say about her and that social game on top of a good understanding of when to make moves is why she is still my winner pick! Lesssgo.
2) Chris - KING. I've loved Chris from day 1 and I'm loving this aggressive gameplay from him. He's just full on sending it and everytime I hear him give a motivational speech...or just talk in general it's absolutely hilarious. Will I be as much of a sicko as Benji and make him my winner pick? Fuck no...I'm not on crack. BUT I will continue to root for this guy and I'm excited to see how long his wildness lasts in this game...Also....him and jason is a terrible combination. It's like throwing fire into more fire and seeing what happens...Yikes.
3) Jason - You are the shit bag titty fuck of this round for a reason. What the heck was that tribal? Possibly one of the worst plans I've ever seen and all it did was create such a hatred towards you by people like Torry/Brandon/Kyle/Sam that I think you just ended any chance you had at making it deep into this game. It's sad because you're still one of my favorite players but CMON MAN.
4) Brandon - Whew. I was worried for you tonight man! But super pumped you're still here and being separated from Sam was the best thing possible for your game in the long-term. I'm hoping Brandon uses this tribe swap to try and build at least one good connection to either Chris/Jason/Kristine that can propel him forward in the merge. Still one of the biggest social threats in the game but we love to see it!
5) Kristine - I'm pretty shocked she's sticking with Chris and Jason. If she goes to rocks for those 2...Wow. I'll be surprised to say the least. I'm not really sure how I feel about Kristine because her gameplay is like....not clear at all. I don't know what her long-term plans are, I don't think she even knows. I want Kristine to survive because she brings entertainment with her drama but like what is she doing?
6) Kyle - Kyle calling out Alex about the idol stuff at tribal was one of the highlights of last night. I loved seeing him cut the bullshit and making Alex look reallllllllll sketchy to his tribe. Definitely a good move on his part. He's still towards the bottom of OG Dreyfus but that's not necessarily a bad thing considering all the "big players" on OG Dreyfus like Sam and Brandon will likely be targets quickly.
Sylvain: 1) Spencer - Spencer is so smart. He's been a pleasant surprise for me in this game. Pre-game wasn't a big fan but he's made me one. He's being underestimated big time..and to hear Sam say that people will "like her more than him" is hilarious because Spencer is one of the strongest social players in this game. If Torry wasn't in this game, Spencer would probably be my winner pick right now. Their duo is my favorite in the game (close 2nd is Grace/Jason). Spencer is great and I'm excited for more big moves.
2) Grace - She's aligned with all the idiots. It's just facts and I feel like Grace needs to begin to separate herself from Jason. I do want them to work together but for her own game, it'd be smart to not protect him so much because he is digging his own grave. If she can get in with someone like Spencer it could really help her moving forward.
3) Elyse - Very similar to Devon. I wasn't sure about her strategy the first couple rounds but it's clearly working now. It'll be interesting to see if she picks Grace or Devon long term because I can't see those 2 sticking together for too much longer. Elyse is another winner threat that is in a great spot in the game right now. Definitely becoming more likable with her confessionals as well.
4) Sam - I want to like Sam. I really do. But I feel like in all of her confessionals she is just pretty condescending about the other players in the game and a little bit full of her own. Will she survive this swap? It's definitely possible (and I hope so because she's my suicide pick). But there's no way Sam is making the top 5 of this game. She's way too big of a target and it's really her own fault with how the Jet Setters played the first couple rounds of the game. Too many mistakes. Hopefully she at least can make one big move with her idol b4 she's gone.
5) Devon - Devon is playing a great game. First couple days I was like this dude is an idiot. But there's a method to his madness and it's working. He's getting close to several key players (Elyse, Grace, Sam) and these are players that have sway to keep him safe. I think him being so focused on getting rid of Jason is a mistake because clearly Jason isn't a long-term threat. But overall I'm impressed by how he's bounced back and I'll admit he's in one of the best positions in the game right now.
6) Jessie - I still like Jessie a lot! Not everyone is that OTT player and Jessie is playing a much more low-key game. Is it a game that people would respect and vote for to win? As of now..doubtful. But the game isn't won in the pre-merge and I'm hoping once she makes merge she will start playing more aggressively because I see her as someone who will be a key vote several rounds since she isn't really tied down to anyone.
7) Alex - Oof. If anyone's reputation just hit the shitter last night (not named Jason) it was Alex. Kyle made him look bad, and people on his tribe (Devon/Elyse) have noticed. Honestly, I haven't seen much from Alex's game lately other than sticking by Grace. Unfortunately, I feel like he's in for a blindside sooner than later and it could be him getting his torch snuffed.

100% agree, he was the push Jason DID NOT need in this game

Yes, but unfortunately, not this cast ...

Kristine- flippppp. She is bonding so well with the other side. She really can make this big move and make things happen. We love this girl's unpredictability and mood swings. She is so mad at Jason and I think that she is ready to do her own thing and take the game into her own hands. Jason is not going to use his idol on her, and she is whack

Alex- What happened. M-E-S-S-Y. Think you may have just sunk your game. But i am okay with this because it really could benefit Sam and Spencer being in the minority and create something new.
Devon- love the way his mind works. He works through all the scenarios and knows when is the right time to make a move and has a good feel on others' relationships. I can see why he is such a great player.

I said this in the VL and got a good amount of laugh reacts to it so I figured I’d post it on the board.
I’m glad that Grace and Jason got split up this round, and honestly jason should too because like, distance makes the heart grow fonder, or some shit. Anyway, Grace wants to win, Logan wants Grace to win so Grace can use that money for them, and Jason wants to win to use the 1k winnings to buy a plane ticket to Louisiana for Grace.

I didn't even realise the idol stipulations where they can only be played on someone from their original tribe. not too confident in Sam's idea to "give it to someone" that cant use it as a "power move" down the line... but maybe it'll work better then I can see it working. Just smells like a Rocky idol play... just for the sake of doing something flashy

I liked Kyle towards the end of his run in the game. Really sad to see the whole Dreyfus tribe get decimated, but they were the ones who put themselves in this position by voting out all their strong challengers

my top 5 rn (kinda biased towards new Dreyfus because theyve been the focal points of the swap so far)
1. Chris - soooo entertaining 2. Torry - will win this game 3. Sam- somehow going to be able to bring her idol into merge despite being swap fucked? 4. Brandon- Legend 5. Kristine
