Wow.
What the fuck just happened.
As you might have read in my last post, Spencer took a huge gamble to talk through this plan with Alex. Mike G in the viewer's lounge mentioned a far better plan than letting Alex know that Grace wants him out: Just don't tell him and vote Jessie with Torry. If Grace wants Alex out, she will need to vote with Jessie OR the best she does is force a tie with Spencer and Torry. This way, they expose Grace no matter what, without having to be the direct messengers.
No. Spencer goes the dirtier way in, face first. He convinces Alex that Grace is turning on him and it works. Alex contains himself and plays along. He finally decides to vote Jessie with Spencer and Torry. He sees Grace's betrayal. Grace is embarrassed as fuck, muttering "wrong person" after the votes were read. Spencer is in AWE that he wasn't voted out and his plan worked. Alex is stoked he was on the right side of the vote.
Jessie had NO business going home tonight. Spencer was #1. Torry was #2. I don't know how Grace got so cocky to blindside her ride or die while Spencer was left in the game. AND SHE LET SPENCER KNOW! Ya got burnt.
I'm sad Jessie is gone, but it's also kind of a thrill. We have a very strong final four in its own right. I feel Jessie was losing her confidence in this game the more she didn't take control. These people came to play and they're going pretty hard.
Grace is losing points with people left and right BUT she's played a tactful game. If she rebounds this F4 and finds a way to the finale, there's a good story with Grace.
Alex has convinced people he's playing a winnable game. This isn't meant to be an insult, but a strong case for him to win. People in the jury like him. He could collect some votes.
Spencer has been riding hard and fast. It's fun to watch and he's doing a damn good job at it. I'm not sure where the jury sits with him. They seemed convinced he's the best in the game, but no one is really backing him. It's an interesting dynamic in the jury...
Torry is lovable. I think she's pegged as the goat, but I know there are some Torry fans. I have this odd suspicion that Torry has been practicing some underground final tribal speech and she's going to unleash it on us on Friday and our minds will be blown. I'm not saying she needs to do this to win, but it wouldn't hurt. GOD aligning with Spencer was both the best and worst thing for your game.
