Welcome to your first Tribe Immunity challenge.
This challenge is called Escape to Safety
and this is how it works...
Each tribe will start by selecting a player to be jailed, this player will be inside one of the few cells still standing at the top of the abandoned tower in Devil's Island for the rest of the tribe to rescue. The tribe will need to find their way to the cell, unlock the gate, and make their way down to the beach were the rescued player will spell out the SOS code in the sand for the extraction team.
The objective of the challenge is to rescue the captured player in the fastest time possible.
First, each tribe is responsible for selecting a captured player. This player will not part-take in any of the other portions of the challenge, except the puzzle at the end. The captured player must be selected prior to the start of the challenge.
Once the captured player has been selected, the tribe must decide how many of the remaining tribe-mates will play in the challenge. Beware, the number of players participating in the challenge may be advantageous in some parts but a detriment in others. The players selected to participate in the challenge must be announced prior to starting the challenge and must remain the same throughout the duration of the challenge.
The challenge will start with the rescuing tribe-mates making their way to the captured tribe-mate through a maze.
The tribe's time will start once the maze is posted. To post the beginning maze, post :maze.nm: (without the period). Once the maze is correctly completed with an appropriate screenshot of the completed version, the tribe can begin climbing the tower.
To go up the tower, players must count planks #1-25. The following phrase must be posted "(insert your tribe's name) places plank #(1-25)". You must post one plank at a time. If at any point, you miscount or post your phrase incorrectly, you must start counting from the beginning. All players participating in the challenge, except the captured player, must place at least one plank.
Once the tribe has successfully posted all 25 planks correctly, they must proceed by attempting to unlock the gate. There are 4 locks that must be unlocked for the captured tribe-mate to be successfully freed. The locks can be unlocked with any numbers 1-150, tribes must try :lock#: (replacing the # with a number 1-150). Once all 4 locks are unlocked, the captured tribe-mate is free. Only the players that climbed up the tower can attempt to unlock the locks.
Once the captured tribe-mate is free, the other players must bring her/him down the tower. To begin climbing down the tower, players must count planks #25-1. The following phrase must be posted "(insert your tribe's name) places plank #(25-1) while carrying (insert captured player's name)". You must post one plank at a time. If at any point, you miscount or post your phrase incorrectly, you must start counting from the beginning. All players participating in the challenge, except the captured player, must place at least one plank.
Once the tribe has successfully posted all 25 planks correctly, the rescued player must complete a final puzzle to stop their time. To release the puzzle pieces the player must post :puzzle.es: (without the period). Once the puzzle is completed, the tribe's time will stop.
*Not all players have to participate.
*Players cannot help the rescued player with any portion of the puzzle.
*Please note you will need a way to draw on top of the maze. Production has to be able to easily trace your trajectory through the maze. It will not be considered complete if production cannot trace your trajectory.
*Players may not move to the next portion of the challenge without ensuring that their previous portion was correct. Moving to the next portion without correctly completing the previous portion will incur a 5 minute penalty, plus you will have to go back and re do the incorrect portion.
*All players participating in the challenge, except the captured player, can work on the maze at the same time.
*Keep in mind that Proboards has a 10 second delay for a member to post back to back.
*Production will not answer any questions once the challenge begins.
*You cannot use any websites to help you solve the puzzle.
