Where Everyone Stands After Round 1

Dreyfus

1. Chioma: NO ONE IS COMING FOR CHIOMA. Our Detergent Queen is safe because no one is worried about her. They are mistakenly counting her out. 5 people in her tribe just straight out lied to her. I think she's going to be a number for Torry moving forward. She's also becoming more active as the game progresses, so hopefully we get more insights into her game. 

2. Torry: Even though she was on the outs for this vote, she's not the next target, which will give her plenty of time to recover and get on top, especially if her tribe wins immunity. Out of everyone on Dreyfus, I think Torry has the best shot at winning this game. She's a big survivor fan who got a rude awakening this round, she's not going to take any vote for granted. I trust she will find a way to survive to the swap and pick up her game from there. 

3. Brandon: Out of the people in the Jet Set alliance, I think Brandon is the safest one. He's the most likeable one and the one that lied the least this past round. I think he needs to branch out of his alliance and make real bonds with people in order to have some wiggle room to move in at the swap. 

4. Kyle: While the target is off his back, he's just a number right now for the Jet Set alliance. No one is actually trying to truly work with him. He's up for grabs Torry!!! 

5. Ryan: Him and Sam are seen as the true force behind the Jet Set alliance. He's the villain I thought he would be. He's playing hard and his saving grace right now is that Sam is seen as the leader of the pack. He really needs to reach out to people outside of his alliance. 

6. Sam: Sam played crazy hard this round and everyone saw it. Her move this round will haunt her for the rest of the game. Right now she is safe, plus has an idol in her pocket, which could save her at a swap situation where Torry or Spencer might target her. She needs to lay low, but no, she wants to instead go after Iqra. This girl is going to play in high gear the whole time and it will catch up to her. I don't think Sam will be our winner anymore. 

7. Spencer: Spencer TRIED IT. He almost got Iqra to vote out Kyle and save Jess. I really thought he had done it, but Iqra was lying to him. He now is trying to save face and he might be doing a good job at it cause the Jet Setters want Iqra out before him. This could buy him a couple of rounds. Torry also said he's her number one now. I think Spencer will recover nicely and will actually go very far in this game. I know a lot of viewers hate on Spencer, but he's smarter than he looks and sounds, I'm here for Spencer to make it to the merge and fuck shit up. 

8. Iqra: She's taking the hit for Spencer's last minute scramble to save Jessaca. The Jet Set alliance is set on getting her out next, even though she stayed loyal to them. I don't see how she can recover right now, Torry and Spencer won't trust her, and the Jet Setters want her out. She needs a power from Devil's Island, a swap, or something. Hope she can make it work cause I LOVE Iqra.

Dreyfus

1. Grace: Like I said, this is the only person I can definitely say where they stand, and that's at the top.

IN ORDER OF WHO I LIKE BETTER

Elyse: I know Elyse comes off a bit cold in her confessionals, but she comes off very different in her calls. She's more personable and funny. I really like her, she's smart, she's the only person who figured out the clue to the advantage (Devon already knew where it was), she's not making waves this early on, and I really think she can make it far. My only concerns are Alex and Jason don't seem to like her and might want to target her; Grace is also catching on to how big of a threat she is. Her saving grace is that Devon likes her, which should keep her safe for a bit. 

Jason: I love watching Jason play, he's fun and he's invested in this game. As I mentioned before, this showmance with Grace should keep him safe for a few rounds. He needs to watch out for Devon whose main goal is to get him out right now. Thankfully for us, Jason has an idol courtesy of Jessaca! 

Alex: Alex is ALL OVER THE PLACE. I have no idea who he considers his number one, Grace or Jason. He spilled the beans to Grace about Jason's idol real quick. He also added Grace to his private chat with Jason by mistake. Jason noticed and removed her really fast. He also keeps lying to Devon about the "possible alliance?" group chat, even though Devon knows about it and Gabby called it out on her exit. 

Chris: He got his bread and survived to see another day. This is what I like about long first rounds, the easy first boots find a way to integrate themselves and people find bigger threats to take out. He was doomed on day one and two, but he found his footing and other people became the target. I'm excited to see what he can do in this game. He is so into it. 

Kristine: Same as Chris, started as an easy first boot but the long round saved her. She's so fun to watch and I'm here for it. I think Devon will keep her close and hopefully use her to take out someone like Jason. 

Devon: I get it, he's smart and likes to take big risks, I'm just not in love. He's the villain of this tribe, and I would love to see Jason idol him out. 

Jessie: I love Jessie, but she's been kind of MIA. From her confessionals, it seems like she is laying low on purpose?

A quick round 2 recap:

Slyvain

This tribe has a lot going on. So many people are creating tight bonds with each other, but it feels more real and less commandeered (like Dreyfus' Jet Setters Alliance). Since alliances are slightly fluid here, I'm going to talk about some of the newer/more developed relationships:

Kristine/Devon
She gives him a lot of information and I think it's because she knows he is good at playing this game. She's latching on and hoping to get to the next round. Devon uses her because she is painfully blunt and honest with him. She shares everything that Jason says and explains to him that she's playing dumb to help get an edge on the competition. This feeds into Devon's want to get rid of Jason, which I imagine he will go after him next round, if they're vulnerable.

Grace/Alex
I feel like this is one of the understated relationships on Slyvain. They are talking constantly through chat. It's nearly all day long and they're always discussing strategy throughout. Unlike her chats with Jason, this feels like a balanced conversation, with a lot of hypotheticals. I feel like Alex and Grace have very similar goals and will work with each other to get there.

Chris with the whole tribe
With Gabby going out due to her dissonance in the first immunity challenge, Chris is filling in that role right now. At the most recent challenge, there was a lot of conversation talking about how Chris was being too expressive in the group call. He was trying to motivate the group, but it was taken as annoying and distracting. If the tribe voted Gabby out for that reason, I could easily see them doing the same for Chris, puzzling Devon why people won't make a move.

Slyvain will be strong going into a potential swap.

Dreyfus

Oof. What a mess of a tribe. Not in that overplaying sort of way, but just an uncoordinated sort of way. The Jet Setters alliance took the helm of this tribe and dominated all of the social persuasion since Chioma and Kyle are not around as much. That left Iqra, Torry and Spencer alone with the Jet Setters (JS). JS really got greedy this round. They were thirsting to go to tribal and they hadn't even competed yet. It felt as though they manifested it. Either way, JS was using Spencer to target Iqra and the same with Iqra against Spencer. Torry was in the middle and they decided to lend a hand to her after they blindsided her Ride or Die, JessAca. Nice idea. They get Torry into a brand new group chat with the three of them, all while messaging her individually, pretending they aren't a tight group of three. Oof again.

Recognizing that they are playing with Spencer and Iqra, Torry notices this as an opportunity to speak with Spencer about it, her new Final 2. Spencer and Torry decide that while JS is running the game, they're happy it isn't them, so they plan to vote Iqra out. 45 minutes before tribal, they get an idea to get rid of one from JS. Spencer confronts Iqra, saying that they're pitting them against each other, so why not go against them. They had Torry/Spencer/Iqra at that point, they just needed Chioma and Kyle, who are both very tight with Iqra. All Iqra had to say is that JS was coming after her and Chioma and Kyle jumped in. Kyle was MIA most of the day, so his vote wasn't "confirmed" until about 5 minutes before tribal. Even then, I wasn't sold on his "yeah, sure". Just like last vote, I was fully expecting there to be a blunder and watch JS come out victorious. Surprisingly, Torry and Spencer drummed up the votes to gain control of Dreyfus. This is actually good for probably everyone on Dreyfus. At worst, Brandon might not know what to do without a solid alliance. Sam will most likely go into self preservation mode, or at least she should. It's been exposed that Brandon is tight with her and that's a liability.

I just wanted to drop my round 2 thoughts before we get too far into round 3 cause I’m behind.

Watching Sams confessional about the plan was hilarious because literally almost everything she said was wrong about the first vote and who she trusts. Get wrecked. Still a fan of her but she needs to slow down a minute and focus on her appearance to others in the game.

Chioma what a boss. She is coming alive folks.

Super props to spencer for clipping the vote to Iqra and getting the other 3 to believe him over her.

Spencer is very confident that he is the reason everything came together which I have no doubt he pulled things together but I feel like he doesn’t recognize the other big contributors to this plan in Iqra and her relationship with Chioma. Torry planting seeds Kyles overall willingness to be receptive to his “alliance” being the ones who last made him the decoy vote. I’m here for him and torry as a pair tho

Brandon’s confessions with all the edits are so entertaining. A+ for his confessional production effort.

Also Chimos day nothing relevant or insightful, thank god production keeps us updated with her convos or I’d have no idea what she was thinking or doing.

My money for winning this game is on Torry 100% major pros to her for turning her game around this round and planting the essential seeds to protect Spencer and force Iqra to their side by making the others so skeptical of Iqra they turned on her. Her and Spencer really balance eachother our well
